Social Entrepreneurs

Social Entrepreneurs is a fairly new term in our area. Not for profit organizations are uniquely positioned to assist their community through mission based services and search for opportunities to meet other community needs through a for profit modeled business called social enterprise. A social enterprise typically is a business owned and operated by a not for profit organization. While still a taxable entity, the not for profit owned local social enterprise contributes to its local community and offers the not for profit organization the opportunity to engage the community in their mission based service and, at some point, generate income to support those same services.

Jewel David Ministries Social Entrepreneurs

JDM, through its social enterprises, desires to contribute to the local community of Elizabethtown by way of downtown revitalization, economic development and employment within our social enterprises.
